ARGENTINA CONFIRMS SANITARY AID TO CHILE
The government has confirmed the sending of three campaign hospitals to Chile in order to collaborate with the rescue efforts after the mammoth earthquake that shocked the Andean country on Saturday and left 711 dead already.
Argentina's ambassador to Chile, MD Ginés González García confirmed the sending of the mobile hospitals and explained reporters that "Up to 10 hospitals were trashed making the sanitary situation highly delicate. We have offered full assistance to President Michelle Bachelet. It also includes vaccines, and a water purifier plant."
González García (former Health Minister) also mentioned that "the Chilean Foreign Minister will meet with all Latin American ambassadors to discuss what is needed in Chile to help it with the earthquake's aftermath."
The ambassador to Chile also confirmed that a crew of psychologists has been offered to Bachelet's government.
The diplomatic also confirmed the probable disease of an "Argentine woman" but also remarked that it was not official as "it has not been confirmed yet."
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner also confirmed the sanitary help as part of the Congressional sessions period opening speeh.
